While studying architecture in Europe William was enthralled by the legacy of the Bauhaus and the early leaders of the Modern Architecture movement. Deeply influenced by what he saw and learned, he honed his skills in the areas of architecture which captivated him most: how to conceptualize and detail designs and then produce concise documentation packages. He worked with international architecture firms he as a project architect on notable hi-rise buildings world wide. In order to focus further on architectural construction he became a project manager at a leading general contracting firm where he was responsible for large scale commercial and major civic projects.

William joined Debra Nichols Design in 1994 to assume a position perfectly suited to his interests and talents. While he has dual roles, they converge in ways which speak to the importance DND places on the integration of architecture, material and construction expertise, as well as capable management of schedules and budgets. As Vice President in charge of Project Management he is responsible for directing and actively participating in the contract documentation and construction administration of every project.

William is from Palo Alto, California. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo in 1979. Prior to joining DND William was with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, Kaplan, McLaughlin and Diaz and Dinwiddie Construction Company. Mr. Comstock is a registered architect in the state of California.
